Home: Welcome

My narrtive

We were about to leave the barn when we heard a boy and what seemed to be his sister. He started walking up, humming with his goat herd with his sister. I yelled out " Whom are you?" believing there who they say they are. The boy ran up to the barn so with his sister, "I’m chenhos, and this is my sister Hue." I stand between the doors of the barn protecting my siblings. "nice to meet yall, I’m Odilia, these are my sisters, deilia, velia, pita, and jaunita." I speak. "Well, here is some food and water it’s hard to stay out her for a few hours without dying of thirst" I say. We ate the bread as it was giving to us, jaunita, veila, Delia, and pita ate and drank very greedily.

We started walking towards abelites home. Chenhos began to look familiar, way to similar. He began to look like "e had seen him somewhere but were. I had asked myself where he could have looked so similar. I brushed it off. We continued walking till it had become dark. "we have to find somewhere to stay so the chupacbras don’t get us” I stated, hue said " you could come with us and stay the night!" The first time she said something during this whole walk, strange, but that never restated in my mind.

We got to the cabin chenhos and Hue led us to deep deep in the wood. We tell them about cencila and all the crazy stuff that led us here. We stayed up all night prepping for the chupacbras. Only to know that later that night disaster would strike. " we are going to go grab some firewood" stated by hue as they walk off far into the woods.  Chenhos explains he needs blood, and they shall plan to feed off the smallest sister pita. A few hours later they return with very little wood.  As soon as they get back, we prep for the chupacbras.

A few hours later, I wake up to pita screaming her head off. Chenhos is sucking her blood off her right lower leg, and Hue is sucking off her neck. I yelled for my other sisters "Girls, girls, girls, wake up! Wake up! Grip the tools we made!" I grab a stake I shaved to make it pointy and Sharpe, I stab the chupacbras and the tlahuelpuchi. I yelled out for hue and Chenhos, to help us. To flip over to find it was hue and chenhos. I kill chenhos.

I threatened the life of "hue" As If she had meant something to us. She exclaims "please don’t kill me!" the girls and I were about to then pita states " We won’t kill you just promise you won’t do this again and not to follow.  She agrees, we made a stretcher for pita to finish the trip to abulitas house. Then we left. Never to see Tlahuelpuchi again.

A couple words from the author

Have you ever liked hearing about monsters and Latin American folklore? Well this story is for you. The monster I chose to modernize this original story was

Tlahuelpuchi. tlahuelpuchi  is a sourcess, witch aswell as a vampire.  Tlahuelpuchi has many superstitions. When there is a newborn child in mexico at home, some familys put scissors or any metal under their cribs of their newborns because tlahuelpuchi hates all metals.

In my depiction of   Tlahuepuchi  in my narrative, I maintained many   charsticis   from the original so that   it was still matching the tlahuepuchi  ,   but modernized the tale by    chenhos having a sister who is almost exactly like him in order to convey the theme that not everything isnt how it appears.

With Tlahuepuchi I kept the same was that she had a passion for blood and small chlidren. According to bloog carot of mythical creatures of latin america tlahuepuchi loves small animals and children. The differences I made to tlahuepachi was that she had a brother which in the orignal text she did not have a brother.
